Default Slackware 10.1 and DWL-650+ worries

Howdy

I'm a very newbie in Slackware, but still got it up'n'running on a IBM 600
Thinkpad with relatively little worries. What I don't get to work is the
D-Link WLan, a DWL-650+. Any ideas, urls or something to get me started?

Hi,

I've got a Dlink DWL520+ on my laptop (mini PCI), and have, after many
tries, succeed to make it work.
The driver (from acx100.sf.net) seems to work, but not always stable
(connection lost sometimes within few minutes... and sometimes it for
many hours !, tested with an AP Dlink DWL900).
Their package includes a script to help to start the device.

Marc.

Allright, now I'm so far that I have a "Texas Instruments ACX 100 22Mbps
wireless interface" in my PCI-device list. But in no way I have been able to
make it to a network interface, ideas? ("Network Interfaces" shows only the
loopback adapter)

Download the driver (using cvs if the tarball isn't alvailable), and
follow the step-by-step guide in on the README files.
Just a remark : depending on the kernel version I used, I was (not) able
to download the driver... (strange PCI allocation error). Which kernel
do you use ?

I'm using 2.4.29 and I used "atmeldriver-3.4.1.0.tar.bz2" I found, the
driver from the link You gave earlier didn't compile on my laptop for some
reason. The driver itelf is loaded, since the card identifies right, the
interface just isn't up. I find that somewhat strange. With my
beginner-knowledge this is most likely something very simple, I just need to
figure out what it is
