Now I know who the troll is. "Sam" who hangs out on and pollutes comp.mail.misc. I haven't read any of his/her/its posts in years. And the poor simpleton either thinks that I do, or thinks that I care what he/she/it thinks or posts. I've been posting to him/her/it like this for years, and he/she/it just takes whatever I throw at him/her/it. Like a punching bag. Those of you who are wondering why this cretin showed up at this point should read my most recent post on comp.mail.misc. I have a Challenge-Response mail filter that silently dumps anonymous mail. Been using it for years. So all the shit mail "Sam" sends me gets silently dumped and I just posted a section of my logs, which pissed poor little Sammy Wammy off. Now, to spare the group more of this punk's shit, I will killfile this thread by subject and message-id. I've said what I had to say. I'll never read another word you post, "Sam". Really. Not to save your life. How many times have you posted unread articles to me? 3000? That sounds about right. You sure are a fucking slow learner. Now go away. I grow weary of the sensation of your lips upon my buttocks. AC -- Usenet Maxim: The more aliases a person has, the less likely it is that they have anything to say worth reading. |

It really is _easy_ to track me down. Google will do it; whois will do it. All this "Sam" stuff is just the old paranoia kicking in again. Have you dropped your medication? > I haven't read any of his/her/its posts in years. Yes, you have and you have replied to them! Are the tablets affecting your memory? > I'll never read another word you post, "Sam". That's a pity, because I'm possibly the only person on the whole of Usenet who has you scored UP Alan - wouldn't miss one of your posts for worlds. Ah well, I suppose one has to learn to face rejection philosophically....... You're not. Unlike some of the other trolls that hang out around here, Alan Conner is _insanely_funny_! The guy makes me laugh everytime I read one of his posts, particularly the ones about his stupid Challenge-Response e-mail crap. Those are the best. For those of you wondering what C/R is about, it's a system wherein you only allow whitelisted e-mail addresses to contact you. Anytime some one e-mails you, your MUA sends them an email (the challenge) which they have to answer (the response) and if so, your MUA will display their original e-mail. This sounds all fine and good at first, but it's horribly horribly busted for reasons laid out here: http://kmself.home.netcom.com/Rants/...-response.html But the biggest reason why mass adoption of C/R hasn't taken place, is because two people using C/R can't communicate with each other! Their MUA's will automatically block all challenges and respond with another challenge, resulting in no one ever seeing anyone's e-mail! -- It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, Than for a man to hear the song of fools. It jusn't hasn't been the same since he went off sulking and tried Debian instead has it? Nice that he looks in every once in a while ....
