Thanks for the link. They are simply the best kept secret in the linux journalism world. No banner adds, it's all pretty much subscription driven, and subscriptions, while expensive compared to print magazines, are well worth the thought that goes into each weekly edition and the daily news posts, not to mention the signal to noise ratio. The people running it are pretty cool too. When I spotted their write-up on slamd64 in subscription only content, for example, I notified Fred about it. He wanted to post something in the discussion and e-mailed the editors, who set him up with a temporary account gratis. All around a real class act, even if the article in this week's edition (a contract piece by an outside author) is a bit trollish. - -- It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, Than for a man to hear the song of fools. I may even subscribe if I could pry any time away from my frikkin job. -- If I felt any more SOPHISTICATED I would DIE of EMBARRASSMENT! |
