Default 2.4.31 kernel problem

I upgraded from 10.1 t
[b:cd2b401bae]10.2[/b:cd2b401bae] over the weekend. After restartin
I received a lilo error reporting that [quote:cd2b401bae]"EBDA i
big". Kernel setup stack overlaps lilo 2nd stage[/quote:cd2b401bae]
I followed some recommendations and compiled lilo using th
LARGE_EBDA options and it solved the problem

My question for the experts is "Why did this happen?" I've run 9, 10
& 10.1 on this box without problems. What's different about th
10.2 kernel?

I'd also like to know if others have run into this

Thank
