Default NISTNet Installation Help

Let me preface this by saying i am a very novice Linux user....

Here is what I've done so far....

1. Installed Ubuntu v 5.10 on a HP DL380 server with dual ethernet.
2. Installed Linux Kernel Source v 2.2.26
3. Ran the installation steps as stated on the NISTNet website

When I get to step 10 and run make and or make install I get a ton of
errors like this in the output...

TextField.c:1524: error: request for member 'text' in something not
a structure or union
TextField.c:1524: error: request for member 'YOffset' in something
not a structure or union
TextField.c:1524: error: request for member 'text' in something not
a structure or union
TextField.c:1524: error: request for member 'font' in something not
a structure or union
TextField.c:1524: error: request for member 'max_bounds' in
something not a structure or union
TextField.c:1524: error: request for member 'descent' in something
not a structure or union
TextField.c:1524: error: invalid operands to binary +
TextField.c:1525: error: request for member 'text' in something not
a structure or union
TextField.c:1525: error: request for member 'YOffset' in something
not a structure or union
TextField.c:1525: error: request for member 'text' in something not
a structure or union
TextField.c:1525: error: request for member 'font' in something not
a structure or union
TextField.c:1525: error: request for member 'max_bounds' in
something not a structure or union
TextField.c:1525:

Can anyone help? What am I missing? Hopefully it is obvious. Does
anyone know if there is a precompiled version of NISTNet out there?

Well someone has got to be the first...
What part of *alt* *os* *linux* *slackware* did you not understand?

Eric

this, however, is alt.os.linux.slackware. technical questions about other
distros than slackware won't find much of a response here.

that's a kernel tree that has been superceded by a newer one four years
ago. why would you do that?

Seriously, try alt.os.linux.ubuntu - but don't expect Ubuntu to work with
anything except 2.6 series kernels.
