Default Post-system crash: Fonts in X becomes pixelated

Hi,

Earlier on I've recovered from a system crash. During the boot process,
it will attempt to fix filesystem errors.

After everything was done, I loaded KDE. I was suprised to see the
fonts are pixelated, aka "not anti aliasing".

What causes this?

I was thinking of the xorg.conf file.

(Im posting this in Windows, dont flame me pls. Im doing work on
Windows at the moment) =)

I have occasionaly have such problems. You have to check your
configuration of KDE (there is an option in the control center). Remove
any .font-cache in your home directory; run (as root) fc-cache -v -f and
restart the X server.

Hi Olive,

Thanks. I did the fc-cache commands as advise. I'v also checked "anti
aliasing for fonts" under Control Center.

I restarted X server. Now it looks fine again.

Thanks!
