Default Logitech webcam setup

I may get flamed for this well here goes.
I have a Logitech webcam & I would like to set it up in Salck 10.2 with
2.6.13 kernel, but I don't know how to start.
I have plugged it in & get:

usb 4-2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 5

from dmesg

What software do I use now, I have xine installed but don't seem to be able
to see the camera.
Do I need to load any modules I have looked in rc.nodules but could see
anything.

thanks in advance
Les

Not knowing which model webcam you have, my psychic powers suggest you
try loading the "pwc" (Philips Web Cam) module.

Indeed, spca5xx-20060101.tar.gz works with this webcam. You can use
spcaview to view, take snapshots, and make videos.

Worked a treat.
Thanks very much
Had to specify dev as it looked at my TV as default.

the usual practices is to quote that part of the message you are
replying to, (cutting all unnecessary material), and to either
interleave your reply, or make your reply underneath the quoted
material.
