Default renice idesk --> weird things happen

Hi guys i have a weird thing going on
i start fluxbox my favorite window manager this is the relevant proportion
of .xinitrc:

bash-3.00$ tail .xinitrc

# Start the window manager:
kdeinit > /dev/null 2>&1 &
xscreensaver 2> /dev/null &
idesk &
gkrellm -w &
wmxmms -t -c xmms &
fbsetbg -f /home/kjp/.fluxbox/backgrounds/Professional.jpg &
numlockx &
exec /usr/local/bin/fluxbox

As you can see i use idesk to put some nice icons on my desktop
Now ... when i renice idesk to a higher priority usually with
top or htop i notice that whatever app i start next ... it will be reniced
to the same priority as idesk itself. Even if it's start as a non root
user???

i don't know why it does this but i do like to renice idesk because then
when i switch desktop it doesn't get surrounded by black corners for a
second.

Do some of you notice the same thing and/or does somebody has a fix for
this or do i have to mail the idesk developpers about this odd incidence
