Default Monster.....?

So, I did the kernel bit again and ripped all the bits out of it that I
didn't think I needed.

lspci tells me I've got a 5597/5598/6327(?) and Xorg.0.log detects the same.
TX ProII/Video inside suggests it's a 5597/8 and it should have this AGP
thing but....

If I compile agpgart support into the kernal then modprobe says it can't
find the module. I'll assume that's because the module isn't there. If I
compile agpgart as a module then when it boots up it says.... something or
another.

Either way it allocates itself 200M of memory and then says it can't find
any supported devices which suggests I haven't got one in this computer,
well not this one because I am downstairs now.

Pube..... I guess I'll live without but it would be nice to know.

Would anyone care to make a definitive statement?

Anyway, having ripped the shit out of the kernel KDE is more responsive...
Like previously when starting something like Konqueror, or anything, the
bouncy thing would bounce up and down whilst the hourglass thing would
rotate. Then the bouncy thing and the hourglass thing would dissapear and
I'd have to wait some more for the program to come up.

Now, when the bouncy thing disappears the program comes up instantly. Plus
when I click on the programs bits they respond pronto. Don't know why but I
suppose it's no longer asking too many questions about what it might think
it might be, or some such.

It starts up wiv the Apache thing and I can do a http://192.168.1.3 (that
one) from 192.168.1.2 (this one) and get the It Worked do-dadd. Then I can
set up the router to redirect http requests to 192.168.1.3 and use this on
to connect via the IP address assigned by my ISP and it does the same.

BIG GRIN......

Worry worry, switches that off......

Did the ftp thing today, vsFTPd. Now I can download porn on the landlords
computer and upload it to the attic for use later.

BIGGER GRIN

I can almost connect externally.... like I get the messages but it tells me
'fuck off'..... that's OK.

Worry worry, switches it off.

Have to learn more about that. Have to learn more about the web serving type
thing. Have to learn more about all of it.

You are all Mong, if I was in control then it would make sense.

Besides that, I don't know what to say. Ask a shrink, rather than this NG?

Gosh!.... How do you set up your permissions to achieve that particular
function?
