 nethack error: no write permission to lock perm Hi, I installed the nethackTTY package from linuxpackges on my Slackware 10.2 system. When I run it (as root or normal user) the game won't start but prints the error: "no write permission to lock perm" on the screen. I already tried to change permissions to the program etc. What's the problem and how can I fix it? (Nethack's project page knows a bug with this error message for MACOS only. Moreover, the QT-Version of the game works fine on my system.) Chris      |
