| I am using the latest stable Freerock Gnome software under Slackware 10.2. I notice that gnome-terminal seems to be the cause of inordinately high CPU usage: When there is text flashing down a gnome-terminal, all of a sudden the X server shoots up to using all the CPU cycles available - making my desktop sluggish. Is this something that other people have observed? I am asking because I do not discard the possibility that there is something wrong with particular setup, not with gnome-terminal/X. |
