Default Direct rendering not working after X.org packages update

Hello,

As a newbie in Slackware I use the slapt-get to update my packages.
Yesterday, after upgrading the X.org packages to the last 10.2 version I
noticed that my Direct rendering is no longer working.

I have an ATI Mobility Radeon X300, and I have installed the flgrx
driver from ATI website. Direct rendering was working after this
upgrade.

Has anybody else had this issue. What should I do?

Thank you!

PS: I posted the same message on www.linuxquestions.org forum and I
hope this does not upsets anybody.

PPS: Sorry for my English

Problem solved with a FGLRX Driver reinstall

I think you will have to reinstall flgrx again.
Or don't use slapt-get, it doesn't know about non-slack packages like
that, so it will break it again and again.

PS: the same is true for the Nvidia drivers, they have to be reinstalled
again after every kernel or X11 update.

I often use slapt-get, and normally I have a look first at
Slackware Security Advisories.
Did not have a look with the last update of X11.
Guess, it's the high temp..
Anyhow X did not start again.
Installing fontconfig and freetype solved the problem.
Did not have to reinstall NVidia driver.

OOPS
X started without reinstalling NVidia.
However noticed later that glx did not load.
Reinstalling NVidia solved the problem.
