Default asciitilde away from x11-6.9.0-i486-11.tgz?

i can't type "~" symbol
just upgraded x.org

What do you mean "can't type it ". Does the key work at all?
Does the grave type OK? Is it the shift key not working?+.

Your keyboard type may have changed.

Read http://slackware.at/data/slackware-current/UPGRADE.TXT

You'll probably also need to edit your /etc/X11/xorg.conf to change
the name of the keyboard driver from "Keyboard" to "kbd". I don't
know why this changed, but it did.

problem solved
when to use us,ru(winkeys),jp(and more) layouts at same time... x.org becomes insane %)
and upgrade of x.org wasn't catalyst... i missed
