| I'm trying to build xorg-7.1 on slackware-11, and fonts xserver docs crash, which prevents the install. Specificly jade and latex have trouble building *.pdf files. Are there any known problems? I'm building this on a lenovo 3000 n100. A few days ago, I built xorg-6.9 on the laptop with no problems. -- jkherr at power - net dot net (wipe the spaces) |

I'm using git to download, and I think it updates from time to time. I've got a bug report in, but I was just wondering if it might be something missing from slackware that was causing the problem. I got it to build by telling an initial macro not to build the pdf files. Once it was built, and I tried to start it, I got a message that the version that I had was beta with no support... This downloaded from the 7.1 xorg site as the current version ;-) I'd prefer to build from source rather than install a binary... right now I'm trying to figure out a way to download the hundreds of *.gz files and build them in order... I'd like to get the proper resolution on the monitor (the screen is 1280 * 800, which is really distorted on 1024 * 768) yada-yada-yada. John. -- jkherr at power - net dot net (wipe the spaces) |
