| I would like to get idesk up and running. I tried a SW11 pkg, but although it appeared to install okay, it wouldn't work. I have the idesk-0.7.5.tar.bz2 file, but ./configure tells me I need imlib2-dev, which I can't find anywhere other than as an rpm. Any reason why I shouldn't take advantage of SW's ability to install rpm's, or is there a SW-specific version of imlib2-dev floating around out there anywhere? Thanx, |

I already had imlib2. That will also provide imlib2-dev? I hadn't actually attempted to run configure again until I received an answer or two... |

Its mostly rpm based distros who does this because people running such a distro are not supposed to compile programs on their own. > I hadn't actually attempted to run configure again until I received an > answer or two... Why not? Running configure cant harm your computer in any way. -- Thomas O. This area is designed to become quite warm during normal operation. |

It appears to have installed. Now I'll see if it's actually giving me desktop icons... |
