| -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hey all, Has anyone else noticed since the new file package update a couple weeks ago, if you use mc, going into a dir with underscores throws up warnings Warning: Cannot change to /path/to/dir_ectory however it still enters it? But destroys the screen where you need to refresh and it kicks you out? I have seen this on all slackware 11.0 boxes with the latest file patch and I know it never existed prior to that, as it's ok on boxes with no patch applied. I kind of uniform everything here, just curious if anyone else sees the same thing or if its with my particular setups. - -- Cheers Res Vote for your favourite MTA at http://polls.ausics.net/v3.php -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFGLDUfsWhAmSIQh7MRAlauAJ0T+gbYRvACpQ6OdNfNtG Ioe6BGAQCfSlLw DVBJLsCefM74Zb8nt1FlN6M= =8Fa9 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |

Sounds like MC can be upgraded to fix the problem. You could submit it to Patrick V. I don't use MC so it's not a big deal to me. |

Temporarily I downgraded to the previous version of bash, that helps (but possibly ruins something else) PW |

I found that I needed to recompile mc (using the cvs branch), and ../configure --enable-charset and that fixed it. Now I can't say whether it was compiling against the new glibc, the cvs version, or adding the --enable-charset that did it.
