On my previous bank Netscape on Linux used to work fine. Then one day they changed something and I was no longer able to pay my bills using their internet service. I called their support and got the answer that Linux was not a supported platform. Some week later the problem was fixed, but meanwhile I had already switched to another bank. It is a lot easier to change to another bank than changing operating system. At least here in Sweden we have some banks to choose from which are able to write standard compliant html. regards Henrik -- The address in the header is only to prevent spam. The point is using a program that overloads the available resources is dumb. The solution to the problem is to either use a browser that doesn't use too many resources, or get more resources. Kind of like the solution to rms posts showing up in my newsreader is to plonk people who think he's worth replying to. -- The seven deadly sins ... "Thats not the point" and "use a browser that doesn't use too many resources". Well elinks fits the bill doesn't it. And secondly, I'll reply to whomever I want, "plonk" away if you must. |

The bank will not let me use a current browser (Firefox/Opera) but has no trouble when I use a 4 year old version of Netscape. That I don't understand. ken |
