Default port 1434

I wrote a little script to run on my desktop that
listens for connections on udp 1434, watching
for remaining systems that have slammer problems.

I noticed that every system on our network
that has SQL Server on it sends a single
0x02 byte to that port on my PC every
15 to 30 minutes.

Is this a sign of a problem? Or is this
the mechanism that SQL Server uses
to "discover" other SQL Server systems
to display in the management screen?
