| Hello group! I've just started using SQL Server 2000. I installed a while ago. I tried a lot to register a server but it only gives one message that "SQL server doesn't exists". My aim is to create desktop applications suing SQL Server. I don't need any networking facilities... I'm using Win XP. TIA |

| Do you have a SQL Server icon in the task pad of your explorer bar, and if you do, does it have a green or red light on it? If the light is red, simply click on the icon and start SQL Server. If the light is green, are ou connecting to local as your server? -- David Rowland MS SQL Server DBMonitor author http://dbmonitor.tripod.com |
