 Can't connect between 2 local instances I have SqlServer 2000 running on a laptop for development. I now have a new laptop and I want to transfer over my data. Both are on my in-home network, but using Enterprise Manager, I can't register them so that they see each other. (My theory is that at that point I can use the Import/Export Wizard to copy the db's over.) Interestingly, each machine can register and connect to a production database hundreds of miles away. I'm not sure where to start...any advise is appreciated.      |
