You really are starting with something very old. SPARCstation 20's,
which are much higher performance, and costing next to nothing now.

If you want to learn about Suns, it's not an ideal machine to start
with. Due to ram/disk limitations, you won't be able to run the latest
Solaris.

You should seriously consider if its going to be more hassle that it
is worth.
