Did you install the SUNWsan package, from http://www.sun.com/storage/san/
and the associated SAN patches?

[On my Solaris 8 box the patches are:
111095
111096
111097
111412
111413
111846
111847
]

Thanks you Peter it now works

patches 111096, 111097, 111413 and 111846 were missing.

I installed them, then reboot with reboot -- -r
