Default Sun Cluster

Hi

Can you use Sun Cluster across subnets? We would like to have 2 systems
clustered but they would be on different subnets. Is this possible with
the Sun Cluster package? Thanks.

Found the answer. For future reference, the Sun Cluster does not work
across subnets.

The whole idea with a cluster is that the users are not
supposed to be affected nor need to change any configuration
regardless which cluster-node their application is executing on,
at a particular moment in time.
The application must be reachable on the same IP address
always. Otherwise youll be besiged by hoards of users
demanding that you reconfigure their PC NOW !
