| Hello, Checking the metainit(1M) and the contents of /dev/md/dsk, it seems that all device names are of the format d{n}+, where n is [0-9]. Is a fixed format, or can other names/letter be used? For example, if I wanted to have the format dXY, where X is [0-9] but Y can have more than 10 entries. Would I be able to use letters? e.g., d5[1-9] for the first nine disks, and d5[a-z] for further disks; then use for the d50 as the main mirror, with the submirrors being d5[1-9,a-z] Thanks for any info. -- David Magda <dmagda at ee.ryerson.ca>, http://www.magda.ca/ Because the innovator has for enemies all those who have done well under the old conditions, and lukewarm defenders in those who may do well under the new. -- Niccolo Machiavelli, _The Prince_, Chapter VI |
