You might, until you found out how limited your application choices are for that configuration. For example, go see what version of Adobe Reader you can get for it. ;-) I have nothing against Solaris, Casper. It's a lot simpler to work on than Linux. It's file hierarchy is certainly a lot cleaner and simpler. Solaris is a great business O/S and Linux is fast-becoming a great general purpose, jack-of-all-trades/master-of-none O/S, IMHO. John |

I use the old Acrobat 4 here, and it works fine for most things. -- Rich Teer, SCNA, SCSA, OpenSolaris CAB member President, Rite Online Inc. Casper -- Expressed in this posting are my opinions. They are in no way related to opinions held by my employer, Sun Microsystems. Statements on Sun products included here are not gospel and may be fiction rather than truth. |

I guess this means that John (the OP, not John Groenveld!) *can* install Solaris 10 on his V40z after all... -- Rich Teer, SCNA, SCSA, OpenSolaris CAB member President, Rite Online Inc. It would sure make my life a lot simpler. But I can't, so yes, I'm having to run not only a different version, but a different O/S. If Sun would have stuck to SPARC and not put out this x86 box, we wouldn't be having this conversation, would we? ;-) |

No matter what anything else says, you can only install what you can download. http://downloads.cadence.com/ (but you have to be a licensed Cadence user to see what's there) |
