Default Is it Neccessary To Have a NIC To Get Solaris Zones Working?

Hi,

Sorry if this appears to be a "huh ?" question, but just wanted to know
if it is neccessary to have a NIC to get Solaris Zones working? My
motherboard does not seem to have any internal LAN card too.....So will
I be able to get Solaris Zones working on it?
I have a Gigabyte 8LD-533 motherboard (I guess its 8LD-533C which does
not have a NIC nor any RJ-45 Jack).....Please let me know.

Regards,

Pritesh

No.

But if you don't have some kind of external network access, then the
only way into the zone will be via zlogin.

Sure.

I think that motherboard does have an Ethernet interface. It's a
Realtek chipset:

(Are you the same person who posted a similar question to the "Sun
Tools & Products" forum? It looks to me like you got a fairly
complete answer there.)
