Default Re: Help with IBM LTO3 configuration

Admins,

Still no progress. The problem turned out to be reading from tapes. I
dd'd data into tapes at about 50Mb/s but read it back at about 1Mb/s.

ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/storage/358x/3582/

I still don't know what will work other than guessing it's the type
3582 from IBM and trying to apply the newer firmware 69U2L3F.zip

These drives hang off the ADIC scalar i500. There's no way to identify
what type of drive it is except the generic information.

Let's hope that the firmware will help. Thanks

not working. i've tried numerous variations of tape-config-list
without luck.

i found that 128k block size gives max write

also IBMtape driver is not required. just use st
