Hi
I use teraterm from
http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA002416/teraterm.html which works fine
in xp.

Alt-b sends a break so you can get to the ok prompt.

Only thing is make sure you use the disconnect option on the menu
before removing the cable as you may cause an accidental reboot....
