| I am using the job scheduler Autosy 3.5.0 to run a job. the Database is on a UNIX box and I have a client on a windows box. I have created a batch job to be executed on the windows box and it works perfectly if I run it manually on the windows box. My problems is when I run it using a Autosys. The batch job looks a UNIX box through a Samba share to see if the correct files are there, if they are then it will move the files accross the network to a public folder for users to access. If the files are not there it will create a log file and email it to me. Like I said before the batch file works if I execute it manual on the windows box, however if I run it through autosys the batch file can not see the files it needs to move. I have checked the Samba permissions and they are correct, the Id is not locked on either UNIX or Windows. all NTFS permissions are correct and the ID permissions are correct on Windows and UNIX... I am completely out of Ideas PLEASE someone help.. Thanks. |

This looks to be a SAMBA issue rather than anything related to Sybase. When you run it manually, the shares are mounted. What about when Autosys runs? And what identity does it run under? If the shares are mounted, turn on debugging within SAMBA to see what it records when an access occurs. I'd also suggest taking this to a SAMBA related newsgroup. -am © 2003 |
