Default BladeCenter JS22 ?

hello group,

I need some private lessons on blade centers.
I just came across the JS22 description on IBMs page.
Looks attractive, but to run them one would need
some blade center chassis, of course.
The most attractive one (price/size/power) of these
would be the type S, but unfortunately Power6 support
seems available only as a "statement of direction".
Does anybody know when this might materialize ?
Moreover, what else would one need to get a usable system ?
As I understand it, the JS22 comes with a single disk only,
so this would preclude mirroring the rootvg, right ?
It comes with an own ethernet port, which is fine,
but if one thinks of filling the chassis with JS22's,
this would result in quite some "cable salad".
Is this what the "virtual ethernet" is meant to replace ?

TIA

You can boot from SAN.

You never cable individual blades (they don't even have RJ45's).

You cable the bladecenter switch into your LAN.
