| Hello All besides the rules that explains when the firmware upgrade of p5 server through HMC would be disruptive. Is the HMC going to display the word disruptive if it were disruptive during final confirmation something like "press OK to start disruptive firmware" from where a point of return still exists... Thanks for answer TIA |

| Correct The HMC will mention whether the LIC upgrade will be concurrent (perhaps with partial activation = deferred) or disruptive. If the upgrade is disruptive, you have to power off the machine first yourself before you start the upgrade. Concurrent updates can only be done for managed system LIC.' |

I have done the concurrent update lsmcode show following before nd after update Current status DISPLAY MICROCODE LEVEL IBM,9115-505 The current permanent system firmware image is SF240_219 The current temporary system firmware image is SF240_219 The system is currently booted from the temporary firmware image. After applying new firmware #lsmcode DISPLAY MICROCODE LEVEL IBM,9115-505 The current permanent system firmware image is SF240_219 The current temporary system firmware image is SF240_332 The system is currently booted from the temporary firmware image. My question : SFXXX_YYY_ZZZ I can see XXX, and YYY. How can I see ZZZ ??? Thanks again TIA for help |
