Greetings all,
Here's the head's up, I am a complete noob at this. I am a Windows and Mac guy and know very little about unix/solaris. That being said, the company that I work for has a Sun system working as a print server for a Xerox Docutech. The Sun machine will not boot. It gives the following error: "The / file system (/dev/rdsk/c0t0d0s0) is being checked. cannot alloc 6576 bytes for inphead /dev/rdsk/c0t0d0s0: CAN'T CHECK FILE SYSTEM. /dev/rdsk/c0t0d0s0: UNEXPECTED INCONSISTENCY; RUN fsck MANUALLY. WARNING - Unable to repair the / filesystem. Run fsck manually (fsck -F usf /dev/rksk/c0t0d0s0). Exit the shell when done to continue the boot process." when I run that, I get the following: "** /dev/rdsk/c0t0d0s0 cannot alloc 6576 bytes for inphead" I have searched several forums and tried several things, but I can't get passed this point. As I said, I am a noob, so maybe someone out there knows something that will help. I have booted off the Solaris install CD and tried to run the fsck, but it still does not work. Any help? Thanks |
