Default re-route unresolved ip's

I need to re-route unresolved ip's to a particular host, an i have no
idea how get this done, any input suggestion would help

Man route.

However hat wont actually do anything useful, unless the target machine
is configured to accept them.


You need some sort of network address translation

This all seems a shade odd? what exactly is the context?

Thanks for the quick reply.

Well there are quite a few servers configured at my company and we are
getting above 300 hits/day to unresolved domains which is on the
internal network and the network admins here have not been able to
figure out what is to be done. They have asked me if i could look into
this as a sys admin and come up with an idea or a suggestion.

FYI.. newbie Admin

From inside the company?

what do you mean by unresolved domains?

Sorry, I am confused. If a domain can't be resolved how can you hit it?
